Spent a nice week in September with some family along with some warm weather and antsy waters. Several families, along with my own, embarked the Carnival Victory to take a cruise through the Atlantic Ocean to Nassau, Bahamas. The trip lasted 3 days at sea, and one mid-day ported on the island of the Bahamas.

During the trip (“Oh Ship, It’s a Cousin’s Trip”), me and family ate a lot of good food, enjoyed laughs, and was entertained by the activities that the Carnival cruise line had to offer. We spent a day in Miami enjoying the weather, sights and lights. We got to spend another day in the Bahamas, taking in the cultural value and landmarks that the beautiful island had to offer.

For many people on board (including me), it was their first time at sea. Sharing a new experience with many people from different walks of life made the mingling that much either. Many vacationers broke the ice in the Lido party that kicked off once the cruise started. Even more broke the ice during what was in store for the night life. Casinos, comedy shows, movie, nightclub parties, and more was available for those who were seeking a good time in the evening. Their was plenty of things for the kids to get involved in, so the Carnival cruise ensured a good time for people of all ages.

I enjoyed this experience with my family because it called for something that will leave us with lifelong memories. This was my first time out the country and having your loved ones there with you makes for no better feeling. My excitement allowed me a couple of all-nighters. It was a cool feeling to watch the boat navigate through this large body of water, catching the island nearing on the horizon. One hour of sleep was all that was needed for my Bahamas tour. I encourage something like this for every one. It was a good time indeed.

Here’s a gallery of photos below that captures some of the moments from the trip.
