Happy #WorldPoetryDay, here's three poems by Yours Truly.
The Beauty that Life can Be
Lets talk about the times when we didn't have a dime,
but looking around we all had something to smile about.
Through the good, the bad, and the uglier,
love your family and be around those you love.
'Cause in the end, it doesn't cost a dime to spend some time.
What a beauty life can be.
I often dream about living a life of free will,
with a mindset that nothing can bother me.
I won't break any laws, only if the law
don't come and try to break me.
Lets go back to genuine simplicity and treating
material things as if it doesn't matter much.
That's only because it doesn't matter much.
Putting our energy into the wrong things won't help our
progress, but I'm channeling my vibes into something beneficial
to you and me. Follow my lead
What a beauty life can be.
Arrows
Light on my feet I've been walking around Cupid but
this time around, I'm being brought to my knees.
This lifestyle of lust has me--
Weak.
I'm on my knees saying
"Forgive me for taking this love life for granted.
I know you couldn't stand it.
Lust walks among us and I know you
will put an end to this--
Soon."

Joe Blow: Next to Blow
When it snows, Joe Blow gets left in the cold.
Blow knows that he is next to blow,
but those around Joe never had hope.
Blow has been ready for the moment on the
outside looking in he comes off as the average
Joe but Joe is far from average.
He has a killer instinct of a ruthless savage
and whatever wants he goes after.
Joe is a go-getter with no standards or
regards to what's in front of him.
Even though his peers appear ahead of him,
Joe is in a turtle race and
in this race Joe is a rapid rabbit.
He's got to have it--Joe is a savage.
Average Joe is next to blow.
While his peers are infatuated with a neck full of gold.
Joe is saying less, staying out the way,
and just accomplishing all of his goals.
Blow stands alone with a mind of his own.
He sat back, listened to the old heads that
already did it and never hated on any.
To his self is where he stays,
an introvert in the flesh that just paved his own lane.
In a minute Joe can be getting nice diamonds and women
but he is chasing something different,
something that he's been missing.
Now Joe is out of his shell with a story to tell.
He has been through so much on his way here
but on the surface he is calm.
Try to scratch the surface and watch Joe won't
be phased because he's shining like the diamonds
that others would have to wait a lifetime to afford.
No jewelry on of course.
Average Joe is about to blow.
